What we look at

  • Power infrastructure specifics: UPS capacity (kVA/kW) and topology, generator rating and fuel type, switchgear and PDU amperage, and transformer ratings.
  • Cooling equipment type and capacity — CRAC/CRAH tonnage, chiller specifications, and whether units are air- or water-cooled.
  • For IT equipment: make, model, and configuration (CPU, RAM, storage) for servers and storage systems, and make/model/port count for networking equipment.
  • Rack type, dimensions, and whether cabinets are included with the IT equipment or offered separately.
  • Battery type and age for UPS and backup power systems — this affects both value and handling requirements.
  • Whether equipment is still live/in production or has already been powered down and decommissioned.
  • Access and logistics: raised floor vs. slab, loading dock access, freight elevator availability, and any rigging considerations for larger power and cooling equipment.

What buyers typically ask
