This policy describes how SellMyFactoryEquipment ("we," "us") collects and uses information when you submit equipment for review or otherwise use this website. This is a plain-language description of our actual practices, not a template — if we change how we handle data, we'll update this page. It is not a substitute for legal advice.

When you submit equipment through our intake form, we collect:

• Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and company name.
• Equipment information: category, manufacturer, model, condition, location, and any other details you provide about the equipment you're submitting.
• Files you upload: photos and documents (such as equipment lists or spec sheets).
• Basic technical information such as IP address, used for spam and abuse prevention (rate limiting) and not for tracking individuals across sites.
• How you arrived at the site with your submission: the page you landed on, the referring site, and any marketing campaign parameters in the URL (if you followed a tracked link). This is used to understand which channels bring in legitimate opportunities, not to identify you individually.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are viewed, which step of the submission process a visitor reached, and how visitors arrived (such as a search engine, a link, or a marketing campaign). Google Analytics collects information such as approximate device and location information, and uses cookies to do this. We do not send Google Analytics any information you type into the equipment submission form — no names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, equipment descriptions, or uploaded files. This data is used to understand site usage and improve the service, not to identify you personally as you browse the site.

Submission data (contact details, equipment details, and uploaded files) is stored in a private database and private file storage. Uploaded photos and documents are not publicly accessible — only authorized internal reviewers can access them.

We share information from your submission with third parties (buyers, dealers, brokers, auctioneers, or liquidators) when doing so is relevant to evaluating or advancing your specific opportunity. We do not sell your personal information. We do not publicly publish your contact information or submission details without your authorization.

This site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and understand site usage. We do not use these cookies for advertising, and we do not use them to track you across other websites. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on; doing so will not affect your ability to submit equipment for review. Separately, our internal admin dashboard uses a session cookie required for authentication — that cookie is only relevant to our internal team, not public visitors.

You can request that we delete your submission and associated personal information by contacting us. Marketing emails, if you opted in, include an unsubscribe option.
